The most recent report shows that, between the 2021 and 2022 surveys, the average salary for engineering professionals increased by 5% while, over the same period, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 7.7%. The average salary is now $116,237, an increase of $8,044. The median is $110,000.
A new survey of engineering executives was also conducted. The report notes that many business leaders have implemented various measures to retain their workforce, including flexible working hours (82%), competitive salaries (75%), and work-life balance measures (73%).
